Heavy Houthi Security Deployment in Sana’a Neighborhoods

Sana’a, which remains under Houthi control, witnessed in recent hours an extensive state of alert, marked by a sudden deployment of security convoys and newly established checkpoints across several districts — a move reflecting growing internal tensions.

According to a local source, the group heavily stationed its forces in the Hadda and Al-Jiraf neighborhoods and around the Presidential Palace, setting up additional checkpoints and conducting thorough inspections of vehicles and pedestrians as part of efforts to tighten its security grip over the capital.

The source added that the unexpected deployment caused noticeable congestion and confusion in the streets, fueling residents’ fears of possible manhunts or arbitrary abductions.
