Document shows the United Nations' complicity in supporting the Houthis

A document issued by the UN envoy to Yemen, Hans Grundberg, revealed the United Nations' complicity in supporting the Houthis, which have been committing violations against the Yemeni people, especially employees whose salaries have been cut, despite the enormous revenues they receive.

In a document addressed by the UN envoy to the Yemeni Presidential Council, the UN envoy requested the Presidential Council to instruct the Governor of the Central Bank in Aden, to postpone the decisions that have been issued to stop dealing with banks under the control of the Houthis.

The UN envoy justified his request to postpone the implementation of the decisions, citing that they would impose new economic pressures on the Yemeni people. However, his request ignored the suffering of employees due to the continued withholding of their salaries, and did not address the agreement that stipulated that the Houthis should pay the salaries of employees from the revenues of the port of Hodeidah.

Political analysts told Khabar Agency that the UN envoy's request left no room for doubt that the UN envoy and the United Nations are the main supporters of the Houthis, granting them the green light to continue cutting employees' salaries and committing the worst massacres against the Yemeni people.

Economic sources said that any acceptance of the UN envoy's request would have serious consequences for destroying what remains of the national economy, calling on the United Nations not to be biased and to stop meddling in the Yemeni file.
